Marine Yard Site Selection

TyPlan for a confidential client was retained to identify potential sites within the Burrard Inlet or along the Fraser river that could support a marine yard to house a marine fleet, have direct access to road and rail. The site would be required to be centrally located to accommodate further marine project . Technical support in terms of:

Road and rail access
Site size , bathymetry
Water lot availability
Avoidance of channel interference
Environmental constrictions
Social constraints

We all criteria utilized to evaluate the potential sites being considered by the client.
